I am Novant Health’s VMware/Cloud Virtualization Architect, with 13 years experience using VMware ESX in production. I have been blogging about virtualiztation focusing on VMware solutions since 2006. I am a VMware Certified Professional (VCP) on VI 2, VI 3, and the new vSphere 4 platforms. Novant Health is a regional health care provider serving 3.5 million people in 35 counties throughout NC and SC and now Virginia. We have over 1,020 physicians, 1,350 providers, and 9 hospitals (with 3 new hospitals being built now). Novant has partnered with Health Management Associates which operates 7 additional hospitals. I have been with Novant for 20 years now. I was invited by VMware to be a featured speaker at the first annual NC/SC VMware Summit Event in 2008. I have also been a speaker at several VMUG events in Charlotte and Greensboro, NC.. I also participated in a online Webex Virtualization related event with Acronis in 2008, which exceeded the max capacity of single webex event. In early 2010 I was invited to blog for Virtualiziation Review! In late 2010 I was honored by being invited by VMware to join their Cloud Team.
